Bolaafola, a Nigerian gospel music minister based in the United Kingdom, has released a new single titled “Freedom.”
The song “Freedom” asserts that when we hold on to the finished work of Jesus and experience the knowledge of that truth, we are set free from Satan’s tyranny, as is typical of Bolaafola to go with a declarative theme that depicts the profession of her faith.
On this single, Bolaafola experiments with Pop instrumentation. She has experimented extensively with her sound in the past, ranging from AfroGospel to Contemporary music, Reggae, and, most recently, Pop music.
The tone and mood are upbeat, celebratory, grateful, and, of course, happy.
The joy of being at liberty, free to be joyful despite apparent challenges, knowing full well that we are fighting from a position of victory,” says the song’s author. Illnesses and other issues are no longer an issue.
“‘Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.’” – Galatians 5:1
Bolaafola’s new body of work, due out soon, is preceded by this single. She held a new edition of her marriage program, “An Evening with Bolaafola,” in August of 2021. Wole Oni, Temitope Oyewole, Femi Ikotun, and Cindy Williams were among the guests on the most recent episode.
In December 2020, she released the single “God of Miracles.” It was the sequel to the EP “I Shall Not Die.” Bolaafola is also the founder and CEO of Bola’s Place, a London-based beauty and fashion company.
